The beloved leader of the people of Bangladesh, the uncompromising stateswoman and former Prime Minister
Begum Khaleda Zia,
answered the call of Almighty Allah and departed for the hereafter today at 6:00 AM (Bangladesh time).

Inna Lillahi wa Inna Ilaihi Raji’un.

Her eternal departure has created a deep void in the political history of Bangladesh. A shining star has fallen—one that can never be replaced.

A Life of Sacrifice and Struggle

Begum Khaleda Zia was not just a politician; she was a symbol of democracy and the rights of the people. From taking charge of the party after the martyrdom of President Ziaur Rahman, to leading the long nine-year anti-autocracy movement, and serving as the first female Prime Minister of Bangladesh—her entire life was devoted to serving the nation and its people.

Despite countless imprisonments, oppression, and hardships, she never compromised.

The People’s Leader in Our Hearts

With the slogan “Save the country, save the people,” she traveled from Teknaf to Tetulia, leaving an everlasting mark on the hearts of the people of Bangladesh. Today, the nation mourns deeply at her passing.

With the passing of our leader, we have lost a guardian whose absence can never be filled.
I pray for the forgiveness of her departed soul and express my deepest condolences to her bereaved family and millions of well-wishers at home and abroad.
May Allah grant her the highest place in Jannatul Ferdous. Ameen.

Though our leader is no longer physically among us, her ideals, courage, and inspiration will live on forever in our hearts.
We will continue the struggle for democracy, justice, and the rights of the people following the path she showed us.

বাংলাদেশের মানুষের প্রাণপ্রিয় নেত্রী, আপসহীন দেশনেত্রী ও সাবেক প্রধানমন্ত্রী

আজ বাংলাদেশ সময় সকাল ৬টায় মহান আল্লাহর ডাকে সাড়া দিয়ে পরপারে পাড়ি জমিয়েছেন।

ইন্নালিল্লাহি ওয়া ইন্না ইলাইহি রাজিউন।

তাঁর এই চিরবিদায় বাংলাদেশের রাজনৈতিক ইতিহাসে এক গভীর শূন্যতার সৃষ্টি করল। একটি উজ্জ্বল নক্ষত্রের পতন হলো—যা কোনোদিন পূরণ হবার নয়।

ত্যাগ ও সংগ্রামের আপসহীন জীবন

বেগম খালেদা জিয়া কেবল একজন রাজনীতিবিদ ছিলেন না, তিনি ছিলেন গণতন্ত্র ও জনগণের অধিকারের প্রতীক। শহীদ রাষ্ট্রপতি জিয়াউর রহমানের শাহাদাতের পর দলের হাল ধরা থেকে শুরু করে দীর্ঘ নয় বছরের স্বৈরাচারবিরোধী আন্দোলন এবং বাংলাদেশের প্রথম নারী প্রধানমন্ত্রী হিসেবে রাষ্ট্র পরিচালনা—তাঁর পুরো জীবনই ছিল দেশ ও মানুষের সেবায় উৎসর্গীকৃত।

অগণিত জেল-জুলুম, নির্যাতন ও প্রতিকূলতার মাঝেও তিনি কখনো আপস করেননি।

জনগণের হৃদয়ে দেশনেত্রী

“দেশ বাঁচাও, মানুষ বাঁচাও” স্লোগান নিয়ে টেকনাফ থেকে তেতুলিয়া পর্যন্ত ছুটে বেড়ানো এই নেত্রীর অবদান বাংলাদেশের মানুষের হৃদয়ে চির অম্লান হয়ে থাকবে। আজ তাঁর মৃত্যুতে দেশবাসী গভীরভাবে শোকাহত।

দেশনেত্রীর মৃত্যুতে আমরা এমন এক অভিভাবককে হারালাম, যার অভাব কোনোদিন পূরণ হবার নয়।
আমি মরহুমার বিদেহী আত্মার মাগফিরাত কামনা করছি এবং শোকসন্তপ্ত পরিবারসহ দেশে-বিদেশে থাকা তাঁর কোটি কোটি শুভাকাঙ্ক্ষীর প্রতি গভীর সমবেদনা জানাচ্ছি।
আল্লাহ তায়ালা তাঁকে জান্নাতুল ফেরদৌসের সর্বোচ্চ মাকাম দান করুন। আমিন।

আমাদের অঙ্গীকার

নেত্রী আজ সশরীরে আমাদের মাঝে নেই, কিন্তু তাঁর আদর্শ, সাহস ও প্রেরণা আমাদের হৃদয়ে চিরকাল বেঁচে থাকবে।
আমরা তাঁর দেখানো পথেই গণতন্ত্র, ন্যায় ও মানুষের অধিকার প্রতিষ্ঠার সংগ্রাম চালিয়ে যাব।
